Miso Yaki Onigiri
- 2 cups uncooked rice
- 1 tbsp butter
Miso Paste
- 1/2 tbsp miso
- 1 tsp mirin
- 1 tsp sake
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp water
Toppings
- Shiso leaves Sesame seeds, and Chives for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the rice by following the directions as per your rice cooking utensil.
- whereas the rice is being baked, place all the miso paste ingredients along during a bowl and blend well.
- Divide the baked rice into half-dozen parts.
- form and squish the rice during a piece of cling wrap into a triangle form.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter.
- Grill the Onigiri for concerning one minute on both sides and coat with the butter.
- Brush the miso paste over both sides of the rice balls and grill both sides till crisp.
- Serve with the garnishes.
