Finnish Macaroni Casserole (Suomen Makaronilaatikko)

Ingredients 

• 2 cups cooked macaroni
• ³⁄₄ cup cheddar cheese, grated
• 1 ¹⁄₂ lbs ground beef (or combination of ground meat)
• 1 onion, finely chopped
• 2 cups milk
• ¹⁄₄ teaspoon nutmeg
• 3 eggs
• salt
• pepper
• 2 tablespoons oil (for frying)

Instructions

• Heat oil in cooking pan and brown the bottom beef with the sliced onion.

• heat kitchen appliance to 425 degrees. Grease or spray oil in associate kitchen appliance proof casserole dish. Add the roasted macaroni and meat/onion mixture.

• Whisk along milk and eggs; add the nutmeg and concerning 1/2 the cheese. Pour this mixture over the macaroni and meat within the casserole. prime with the remaining cheese and bake within the preheated kitchen appliance for roughly forty minutes, or till the cheese is golden brown and also the casserole is heated throughout.
