Finnish Macaroni Casserole (Suomen Makaronilaatikko)

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups cooked macaroni
  • 34 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 12 lbs ground beef (or combination of ground meat)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups milk
  • 14 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3 eggs
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil (for frying)

Instructions

  • Heat oil in cooking pan and brown the bottom beef with the sliced onion.
  • heat kitchen appliance to 425 degrees. Grease or spray oil in associate kitchen appliance proof casserole dish. Add the roasted macaroni and meat/onion mixture.
  • Whisk along milk and eggs; add the nutmeg and concerning 1/2 the cheese.
