Scalloped Oysters

Ingredients 

  • 1 pint oyster
  • 1 13 cups coarse cracker crumbs
  • 13 cup melted butter
  • 12 cup light cream
  • 14 cup oyster liquid, from container
  • 14 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  • Drain oysters, reserving 1/4 cup liquid.
  • mix crumbs and butter.
  • unfold 1/3 of crumbs in a very lubricated shallow 8-inch pan.
  • cowl with 1/2 the oysters.
  • Sprinkle with pepper.
  • exploitation another third of crumbs, unfold a second layer; cowl with remaining oysters.
  • Sprinkle once more with pepper.
  • mix cream, oyster liquid, Worcestershire sauce, and salt.
  • Pour over the oysters.
  • prime with the last of the crumbs.
