Ingredients
- Cookie Dough Layer:
- 5 tablespoons butter, softened at room temperature
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- [/url]1 large egg
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 and ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Brownie Layer:
- 8 tablespoons butter, melted
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder
- 2 large eggs
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 5 tablespoons flour
- Half Brownie Layer:
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder
- 1 large egg
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 5 tablespoons flour
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Cookie Dough Layer - In a medium mixing bowl, mix together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add in the egg, and vanilla extract.
- Slowly mix together the flour, salt and baking powder. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Add the cookie dough to a small bowl. Set aside.
- Brownie Layer - Decide which kind of bars you would like - more brownie or less brownie. Mix together the ingredients on which one you are making.
- Pour the brownie layer on top of the parchment paper. Spoon the cookie dough on top of the brownie layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes. Allow the brownies to cool before slicing
