Add the cubed butter into the flour mixture, coat and work into the flour by rubbing between your palms to flatten the butter into the flour till it resembles giant crumbs (see photos in post).
during a separate bowl, beat along the cream and eggs.
combine the egg mixture into the flour mixture to gather.
combine within the raisins.
prove onto a floured surface, roll into a thick disk and take away eight wedges.
Transfer onto a lined baking sheet (I lined mine with slippery foil), brush with milk and bake 20-25 minutes or till golden.
